Hello, I need to set up a Windows PC to run Mac OS alongside it without altering the current system. Can you help? Which Mac version should I choose? What’s required to proceed? Are there any important steps or warnings? Links for further guidance would be appreciated.

The requirements vary depending on your setup. A compatibility checklist is available here: https://dortania.github.io/Anti-Hackintosh-Buyers-Guide. The dortania Opencore documentation generally addresses these points. If your system lacks two external drives, the process won't work. When drives are present, Windows might not boot via OpenCore, requiring manual selection of the boot loader. Also, a Windows update could erase your OC EFI, so keep a backup of the EFI file (usually the USB used for installation works).

This varies based on your setup and what you consider achievable. If "doable" means running exactly like a standard Intel Mac after booting macOS, then it won't work. But if you're okay with some uncertainty and potential risks from updates, it might function. A Hackintosh typically requires ongoing effort.
