I thought about it, but installing an OS on every part of the computer at once sounds complicated. How would someone actually get it set up?

Connect an 8GB+ USB stick to another PC, then use this tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10. Follow the steps and after finishing, transfer the USB to your PC—it should start Windows 10 automatically if there’s no space on your drives. Almost identical when switching to Linux. Just use Rufus to install the distro's ISO from their website.
