Your setup should include standoffs—small screws inside the case to prevent shorts and provide grounding. Avoid connecting the motherboard solder directly to the case; keep it separate from power lines. Make sure the cooler is securely mounted without pressing against RAM modules, as this could cause stress or overheating.

Your existing motherboard is a mATX with six expansion slots. The new one you're getting has nine. You mentioned there are no loose spare screws included, unless they’re already set under the old board?

I don’t have standoffs in every hole on my motherboard, but just ensure it sits on a few standoffs and stays secure inside the case so it doesn’t shift. The back of the board shouldn’t touch the case itself. I usually install 99% of the build before adding the case. Building in an ATX case is tough, especially with a mid-tower setup, but it’s manageable. I had to remove my RX 570 just to fit the Wraith Prism cooler and connect the wires. You might need to switch things on and off several times for cable organization. With an ATX case, you’ll likely spend more than half of your project on managing cables.

The advice is generally correct. Using 2X8GB and 2x4GB together can strain the system, especially with Ryzen processors, because they require more memory bandwidth and stability. It’s better to stick to one 8GB or two 4GB modules for optimal performance.

You have an SSD or DVD drive, etc. Yes. I possess two 8GB modules, just ensure they aren't adjacent in the slots—otherwise they'll operate as single channels. Arrange them as DIMM 1 & 3, or 2 & 4, with proper spacing between each (never 1 & 2 or 3 & 4).
