The installer should detect your hardware needs. If Device Manager lists an Intel module, using those drivers would be wise.

After completing my exams, I plan to install the drivers I believe are the best. Will the laptop function properly without them? Ethernet should work.

Certainly, though some devices might not function properly. Windows can also download standard drivers from online sources.

Are you asking about the right software for this laptop? (For your friend’s setup, they’re using Ethernet, a browser, and a stable Windows environment.)

Usually I don’t rely on Windows for this. But if you can’t locate it on your own and you don’t require it, skipping the drivers isn’t a problem.

He can operate his laptop, and we can add the drivers later. Using incorrect drivers might cause issues.

I didn’t try to install the incorrect driver intentionally, but the most likely outcome is that Windows will refuse to use the hardware without the proper drivers. You can remove it using Device Manager.
