Good evening. I built a Windows 11 installer using Rufus initially, then switched to Microsoft’s media tool. It keeps failing right after the loading animation starts, looping through the same steps every time—often showing a black screen with a spinning loader that crashes. Installing Ubuntu works smoothly, which is confusing. My PC is an ASRock DeskMini with a Ryzen 5700G, 64 GB RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD plus two 1TB SATA drives. I’ve verified BIOS settings, secure boot, TPM, CFM/legacy boot status, and both fast and disabled boot options. If anyone has suggestions, it would really help. My mom would probably be upset about installing Linux. Thanks in advance!

Consider setting up Windows 10 and then moving to an upgraded version like Windows 11

I haven't tried it before, do you have any recommendations for a guide? It looks like everything I see is set up using an existing Windows version.

The majority of Windows comes from earlier releases, continuing this pattern since Windows 2.0. To set up Windows, insert the CD/Flash drive into the correct slot and adhere to the guidance provided.

You require an additional device to generate a USB drive for setup. After that, proceed with the instructions provided at the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows11

You're planning a fresh setup, so you're skipping some common steps mentioned in tutorials. Finding a Windows 10 ISO and creating a bootable USB is a solid approach.

It looks like the Windows 10 installer keeps freezing in the same way, which is really frustrating. It doesn’t display any error messages, making it hard to diagnose the issue. Maybe removing the two HDDs will help determine if the problem is related to storage.

I've been experimenting with it a lot and finally identified the issue. The WiFi card I installed (in a M.2 Wi-Fi slot) appears to trigger crashes. I managed to run the installer without it, but once I reinserted it, Windows crashed again immediately. If anyone knows why this happens or how to resolve it, that would be really helpful. The card in question is: https://www.amazon.com.be/-/nl/dp/B0CP1FQV3G. If I can't locate it, I think returning it would be the best option, as it seems to lack AMD support and I didn’t realize that was a problem.
