The initial startup was with a new Samsung 990 Pro, and it successfully downloaded the Windows installer from USB. I was assembling a PC for my girlfriend but accidentally pressed the reset button on the product key screen. After resetting, the system wouldn't boot. I switched to a Samsung 980 Pro SSD to install Windows 11, which succeeded. I then adjusted the UEFI settings to prioritize the USB drive for installation. It functioned properly, and both SSDs were recognized. Now, turning off the PC and removing my SSD left Windows unable to load, even with just one drive. What might be wrong? Could it be the motherboard or my actions? I haven’t had time to reinstall the SSD. Thanks for your help.

Specs: I7-14700k, Gigabyte RTX 4070 MSI Pro, 790-P WiFi, 32 GB DDR5-6000

Begin by easing into the process and letting go of the SSDs. Connect your bootable USB, install Windows, and adjust the boot order to prioritize the USB or temporarily override it in BIOS. Keep pressing the delete key when the system powers on until you notice the BIOS screen. If it doesn<|pad|>, shut down and perform a power cycle. Once comfortable with the USB setup, press 'next' several times to view your drive details and partitions, including any leftover bootable sections. If the drive appears mostly empty, consider clearing partitions and rebuilding them before installing Windows. Any issues with your NVMe might be the cause—check for visibility in the installer or provide more details if needed.

I thought I was just playing around with the SSD, but it seems like that might be the issue. When I load something, I don’t get anything. I tried using the del key to open BIOS but nothing appears. If that helps, I put the SSD back in and still got nothing. I’m planning to re-seat the CPU and RAM to see if that resolves it. Honestly, I’m a bit clueless and usually avoid tech stuff, but I want to figure out what’s going on.

I've experienced this before using an SSD, but it didn't work. After powering on the PC, nothing appears on the screen—just a "No Signal" message on the monitor. The system is running, fans are active, including GPU and CPU cooling fans. The motherboard shows its status lights, and during startup the CPU, DRAM, and VGA lights illuminate one after another. After VGA, a brief flash of the Boot light occurs, but the screen remains blank.

It turned out the bios key was F11 instead of DEL, and all I needed to do was press enter to start Windows install. Thanks for the advice!
