Installed NVMe over PCIe adapter and noticed PC behaving oddly during startup.
I installed one NVMe drive via a PCIe connection on my PC using this adapter. I plan to use it solely for gaming, not for booting. It's strange that when I power on my computer, the new NVMe disappears while the other four HDDs remain visible. After a short delay, the system freezes for about a minute, then the HDDs vanish, leaving just the new drive. Once I restart, everything works normally with all drives detected. This occurs every time I turn off and on my PC, but not when I restart from a different state. What might be causing this issue? Could it be the adapter itself, or another factor?
You're looking at a motherboard with seven PCIe slots. It has a GPU in one slot, Wi-Fi in another, and an NVMe drive in yet another.
