Installed MacOS Mojave too fast and the App Store isn't responding
Hello, I installed new macOS Mojave on my MacBook Pro without doing a full wipe, but the App Store isn't working. I haven't found any guidance online and can't even search for updates without it. Since Apple hasn't released official support for Mojave yet, I'm reaching out for advice. I've attached the complete crash report with system details and screenshots showing the issue—crashes after connection problems. I'm hoping someone can suggest a solution, as I'm upgrading to Beta software and don’t want to risk losing my files. Thanks in advance for your help!
Absolutely, I took full responsibility for this situation. I'm reaching out for assistance and hope someone can provide guidance.
Hello, it seems you haven’t created a backup beforehand. There’s no built-in method to update without using the app store. You received a notification to update, but instead of clicking "install," you opened the crashed application and pressed on the notification. It appears the issue might be limited to the GUI layer. For Ubuntu, you can try running `apt-get update && upgrade` manually if you have access to the command line.
You can start from recovery and reinstall macOS. It will set up the version that came with your Mac and keep your files intact. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201314
