Installed a first-generation Ryzen processor on an X570 Aorus Master motherboard.
I couldn't claim the achievement. I discovered this "skill" from "The Tech Tank" on YouTube (he was part of UFD Tech) after MSI provided a MEG X570 Unify, though my setup had only a first-gen Ryzen processor. It also functions with a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master. I updated to the oldest BIOS available on Gigabyte's site. Anyone else experimented?
We can at least exchange the motherboard and hold off while some Zen 3 chips become available.
It should function properly. All second-gen models also work on the X570.
I wasn't aware of that. I thought it would match the X570. Nice to learn!
Initially I encountered a problem where the Mobo/CPU didn’t recognize my Patriot Hellfire NVMe in Slot 1/A, but it worked fine in Slot 2/B. After checking the BIOS webpage, I found a revision for handling PCIe compatibility—specifically rev F11, which seems to be the fix. Now NVMe is properly recognized in Slot 1/A.
