You're starting from scratch with Linux containers. It sounds like you're having trouble reinstalling or updating your system after some troubleshooting steps. Let me know if you'd like help diagnosing the issue further!

Launch the script with ctrl+shift+t vmc stop termina vmc destroy termina vmc start termina run_container.sh --container_name=penguin --user=USERNAME --shell. Be aware this will fully wipe your container. Confirm USERNAME matches your Google login username, which is everything before the @ symbol.

It seems like you're experiencing the same issue even after fixing it. Could you clarify what you're doing and what steps you've taken so far? That might help identify the problem.

Check Settings > Wi-Fi (or Ethernet) > Network connected to, then select the desired network. Under name servers, choose Google’s servers, and retry. You might want to restart the VM from scratch instead of just connecting or trying again.

Check the network settings in Chrome. Clear the DNS cache, restart the browser, and attempt the request again.

Thanks a lot! It looks like the issue might have been a network problem—either your step above or the connection to the university Wi-Fi/ethernet didn’t work well. I managed to install Linux apps and get to the prompt, but the terminal app isn’t on the device anymore. Do you know why this happened or how I could recover it? Appreciate your help!
