Here are some alternative phrasings for your message:

- Several factors came into play. I performed a system rebuild using the old Samsung 120GB SSD, hoping to resolve compatibility issues between new and existing hardware. I prepared a bootable USB and attempted an upgrade. After about an hour, my boot drive was completely erased and reformatted as GPT. Installing Windows now results in a 0x8007025D error, indicating it can't install the necessary files. I’m currently without a desktop since the drive is blank. It seems there might have been some oversight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I did it. Right now my boot sequence is USB first, then SSD. All other drives are not connected. I can navigate through the Windows installer prompts, but when the files begin installing, errors appear. @Godlygamer23: It's an 8gb USB Flash drive.

Connect the USB to a different PC using File Explorer and avoid quick format. Follow the Windows instructions to rebuild the installation media. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software.../windows10 "download tool now"

I’m unsure exactly what you’re dealing with, but it seems to be an x399 board. You can verify the model by checking the motherboard label or manufacturer documentation. If it supports UEFI, you’ll need to access the BIOS/UEFI settings to confirm the firmware version and options.

It seems the files are damaged during the flash drive creation. Which operating system are you using now? You'll likely need to set it up first.

It was Windows 10 too, but I thought a fresh installation would be better. Making a new bootable USB might work? I meant to install, not just delete partitions. I removed the existing drives and kept getting errors. I’m struggling a bit, appreciate all your support!

You need to be able to set up an operating system initially. Which one was that? Set up the first OS, then rebuild the Windows installation media. Clearing and starting over with Windows 10 is possible. Installing on an SSD is quick—installing it twice isn’t a big issue.
