Installation guide for Quake II RTX on Linux.
I've directly observed steam during a player using Quake II RTX on Linux (with the proprietary Nvidia driver).
When the game supports Vulkan with its Ray Tracing Extensions, this is true for both native Linux versions and Windows applications via Proton or Wine. This condition excludes titles using DirectX through Proton/Wine combined with DXVK or VKD3D. It also seems to apply only to NVIDIA's exclusive drivers at the moment. The Native Linux version can be found on Steam.
Running Quake II RTX on Ubuntu MATE with your AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series causes the error "No Ray Tracing capable GPU found."
Information from phoronix indicates that ray tracing support is being tested for AMD on Linux, covering both free and paid versions.
