Installation guide for Core Isolation on Ryzen 5 3600 and B450MB systems.
Hey, I'm facing an issue with my gaming PC that's really frustrating. I assembled the system myself and everything functions perfectly. My stoneage NVIDIA TITAN BLACK (1080) runs all games at the highest settings with ASUS B450-PLUS GAMING, AMD Ryzen 5 (3600) and an M.2 SSD. The built-in security in the Ryzen works exceptionally well. I haven’t made any changes to the CPU settings. I’m using BIOS profile 3200 for the bus clocking, which seems to fix all the necessary parameters. Core Isolation isn’t activating, even though AMD supports it and ASUS claims everything is fine. I’ve tried resetting the PC, checking every registry entry, using debug tools, and even uninstalling each driver one by one. After rebooting, the Windows system doesn’t display any logs related to secure boot, CPU virtualization, virus issues, or driver conflicts. The CPU virtualization is enabled in BIOS, and the BIOS itself is up to date. When I enable Core Isolation in the Windows security settings and restart, I always encounter a blue screen after the login prompt. "System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled." Anyone else experienced this? I’ve removed all ASUS accessories and the Armor crate. What could be causing this problem, and how can I get Core Isolation working? The Ryzen CPU has built-in protections against Spectre and Meltdown, so it shouldn’t be the issue. Is this a reason Core Isolation isn’t needed here?
