Installation guide for Code 19 on dual CPU setup
Hello, new poster here and I'm still figuring this out. I have two identical Intel CPUs on an Asus board, each with one stick of RAM. When the system powers up, it immediately throws in code 19 ("SB initialize before installed memory"). I've checked each CPU separately and each RAM stick individually. Booting works smoothly with just one or both RAM sticks installed. The only hiccup comes when installing the second CPU. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! *Note: Specs included as requested.*
Sorry, it seems the specifications weren't included. MB: ASUS Z10PE-D16 CPU features two Intel E5-1620V4 processors at 3.5GHz, LGA2011 socket, 140W RAM with two Supermicro units (sticker indicates Samsung). M393A4K40CB1-CRC4Q 32GB ECC DDR4 memory, 240PS power supply from FSP Twins Pro. The manual details memory setup for one stick per CPU (A1 and E1). You mentioned you've already configured it this way.
Identified the problem; The 1620V4 only allows single CPU setups: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...tions.html. To run two units you must use options from the 2600 V3/V4 lineup.
