Based on what I've learned, AMD drivers are integrated directly into the Linux system at the kernel level. However, it's important to exercise caution with newer components. For instance, I installed an advanced AMD 5700 card and used Ubuntu Long Term Support due to compatibility issues with the older kernel. Upgrading the kernel resolved many problems, though some newer kernels introduced stability challenges. With POP OS, the underlying principles remain similar, but it's unclear if they rely on a more recent distribution. I considered upgrading to the latest Ubuntu version when it becomes available, but if not, another distro might be a better option.
