I've reviewed the discussion thread you shared. It outlines all the attempts you've made to install Fortnite after replacing your hard drive. Your goal is to connect with your brothers who have laptops and want to play together. You've reinstalled most games except Fortnite, but the Epic Games Launcher won't appear in your apps or program list. The issue seems to be with the old hard drive assignment, as the installer detects it and throws an error. You've tried using a thumb drive, formatting it, and even placing empty folders with the correct path, yet the problem persists. No solutions have been found so far, and you're reaching out for help.
The same problem occurred, so install it on a drive named D:/. Epic Games doesn't allow that. Just modify the path.
I'm having trouble removing or reinstalling the launcher. It's unclear what steps to take.
crappy coding if you ask me... this also involves registry work. The simplest step is to press the Windows key, go to Disk Management, and view your drives. Click on a drive like 1TB Storage, then select "Change drive letter and paths." Delete the "M" path and add "X" instead.
I attempted this, but the system reports an error: "This specified account already exists"
I've been working on it for two days now, lol. Without an X:// drive I encounter the error in the GIF I shared on the original post. When I assign a drive with the letter X, the installation continues but halts and says "This Specified account already exists."
