Do you have a 64-bit version of Windows? (On Windows 10, look for 'About' and check the 'System type' part.) For 32-bit systems, only 32-bit programs run.

It would likely work with an older simple game, like Insaniquarium Deluxe. Quite a fun simple game that will run on basically anything at this point. Plus there is a Demo version on Steam, so you can give it a shot with no commitment. Or maybe Peggle works?
