Windows 7 CPU compatibility isn't fully accurate for all applications. While the 7th to 9th generation models function well, some issues may arise. If you don’t find compatible drivers for your motherboard, you can skip installing them and instead obtain the drivers directly from the manufacturer, as I did. Details are provided below.
I restored my vintage disc player/recorder/player software and used it to install Windows 7, eliminating the need to modify the W7 setup. This approach may cause issues on laptops. Also, Windows 7 functions well with modern hardware—currently running at 7700K, which isn't officially supported by Windows 7. They do restrict updates, but you can circumvent this by using a tool called wufuc to enable updates again.
