I'm trying to set up Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 8300. It doesn't support UEFI, and I'm using a 500GB Maxtor HDD. No one can explain why this error keeps appearing, even after searching online.

Did you form a partition on that storage device? It appears to be empty space that won’t start up. For your system, unallocated space is similar to having no drive connected at all.

I also did that, encountered the same issue. It was a 50GB partition.

The hard drive is set up with MBR formatting. From my experience, Windows 10 doesn't support GPT formats well.
