They upgraded their RAM recently with a Lenovo Legion 5 and added an extra 8GB 3200MHz stick. However, after installation the laptop still ran very slowly, freezing during simple tasks like opening Discord or Steam. We've checked for updates, restarted it multiple times, but the task manager shows no major issues. It's been a bit confusing what to do next—any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Several models of Lenovo Legion 5 exist. When replacing the new RAM module, restoring the machine to its original state usually brings performance back to normal. The original RAM speed depends on the specific version you have.

The label mentions "Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H". The initial RAM speed was 3200MHz, and it hasn't been adjusted yet.

They also ran tests using just the original stick, and it functions properly. We plan to focus on the new stick next to confirm its effectiveness.
