Hi there, I recently purchased and assembled my Ryzen system but am facing an issue installing Windows 10 via Disc in my external DVD ROM. The error message states, "A media driver your computer needs is missing." I have an option to search for the driver or use a flash drive with the driver. I’ve been told to try a different USB port, but all I’ve done so far is tested all available slots. I cleaned the SATA DVD drive and inserted it, yet the problem continues. I’ve also tried inserting my motherboard CD to look for drivers, installed all the ones detected by the installer, but nothing works. I unplugged most of my other SATA drives except the SSD and CD-ROM, and even those USBs except the mouse and DVD-ROM. This is frustrating. Thank you in advance. Do you have another device that you can use to install windows ? There is a microsoft usb installer linked below, then you will need a iso also linked below. follow the steps on the microsoft installer. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download...nload-tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software...ndows10ISO You should be able to use your activation key while setting up windows - make sure you install the right version that matches your activation key. If not, you can proceed without a key but will have a watermark and won't be able to change the background.
To get a Windows copy, you only need a license number. The program can be saved from Microsoft (or a torrent). https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software.../windows10
Thank-you, but the only problem is my cd is slightly illegal and the key is baked into the installation, but I can go in activated
These platforms don't support grey/black market versions of Windows. I won't provide instructions, but searching online can help you locate methods to download or obtain cracked Windows. You might also copy the installation file onto a USB drive if the CD version is available. Consider using an alternative operating system instead.
