I have Zorin 15.3 lite on an older computer. I need the chance to use Windows programs. But installing Wine is really tough for me. Here’s what I run when I follow the instructions on winehq.org. First, I download the key file and add it to my repos. Then I update packages and try to install winehq-stable. The process stops when it says some dependencies are missing, especially wine-stable. It keeps asking why it won’t install and suggests other fixes.

Zorin has a known issue with broken packages. Apt offers solutions to fix this. Consider using: sudo apt-get clean, sudo apt-get update --fix-missing, or sudo apt-get install -f. Alternatively, try playonlinux and/or lutris.
