Install ZorinOS solely via USB drive.
I've spent my whole life using Windows, yet I'm exploring Linux options. I chose ZorinOS for its user-friendly interface, but I'm not ready to quit everything. The idea is whether you can run a full operating system from a USB stick without installing anything on your main computer.
Usually runs a bit slower than a traditional spinning hard disk. When measured by sequential read/write performance, the flash drive is slightly quicker technically, but it also has a much smaller cache compared to today’s hard drives. You’ll notice it becomes sluggish once the cache fills up, though using the whole operating system from it can be fast.
The speed depends on the specific workload and system configuration, not just the drive size. Larger drives can still be limited by other factors like read/write throughput and cache behavior.
