I purchased the disc edition of The Witcher 3 due to a data limit issue in Australia. It’s unclear why it’s trying to install with GOG, but I’m curious if it can be added to Steam. Please let me know your thoughts.

It was a similar issue, yet I couldn't connect to Steam. However, GoG is quite solid as well, shouldn't it be more challenging or distinct?

You currently have all your games on Steam and prefer using a single client without needing separate accounts. A solution would allow Steam access even when DRM is disabled.

Add a non-streaming title to the Steam collection by pointing at the Witcher3.exe file. Consider using the GOG client periodically to look for updates for the game.
