You're just starting out with Linux/Ubuntu and want to connect to the internet. You've set up a WiFi driver and installed Wine 3.0, but you're having trouble finding your network adapter. The instructions suggest rebooting, which should fix it. Keep an eye on the terminal for any updates or errors during the process. If you need further assistance, let me know!

The reason you chose 14.04 over 18.04 is that 14.04 is nearing the end of its life and may already have the driver you require by default. Additionally, using wine alone isn't recommended for system drivers—you must use ndiswrapper. The article you referenced is from 2011, so it might not be actively supported today.

Consider a setup with minimal RAM consumption. Ndiswrapper option available. Will test it later.

You have a Gigabyte B360N motherboard with a built-in WiFi adapter. The driver file for your WiFi adapter is labeled as an Intel Pro Series, but you visited the Linux website to download three different versions from various Pro Series releases.
