I recently assembled my second computer and opted for a free Windows version. I transferred the installation onto a flash drive and installed it on my new machine. But when selecting an SSD for the drive, an error appeared: “We couldn’t create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files.” If anyone could explain the issue, that would be incredibly helpful.

I don't have access to your system details, but you can check the installed version by opening the Settings app or searching for "About Windows" in the Start menu.
