Are you kidding? Get the ISO file. Choose your USB stick, then launch Rufus. Begin the installation from the USB device.

I need to purchase Windows 8 and install it on my old PC using the USB drive. I plan to buy a new system, but will it require formatting? After setting up, I’ll need to adjust the boot order in BIOS—switching from USB to my SSD before launching PS.

I didn't react negatively. I tried Rufus earlier and one that begins with a N. I prefer handling it myself. I can check if it works or not.

They might not prefer this method, but it functions with Windows ISO files as well. It's really straightforward.
