Hello! I'm trying to set up Windows 8 on my SDD, but I'm currently using Windows 8 on my HDD. I need a way to get Windows 8 onto the SDD without a bootable USB drive. Since I don’t have any USB sticks bigger than 2GB, buying one would be costly and inconvenient. I only plan to install it once. Can you help me create a bootable CD-ROM using an 8.5GB DVD+R? Also, what about making the external hard drive bootable with an ISO file?

No local shops close by (It's in Belgium...) and delivery fees are very high.

You can prepare your external hard drive for booting. This process needs no software and doesn’t require wiping anything. 1. Obtain the ISO file for Windows 8. 2. Double-click the ISO and select all files by pressing 'Ctrl' + 'A'. 3. Transfer those files to the root directory of your external drive. 4. Launch the Command Prompt in Windows. 5. Enter these commands in the prompt, pressing Enter after each: x: cd/boot bootsect x:6. Your drive is now ready for installation.
