I need a portable device for my work tasks, since I already use this machine at school. Because I don’t have admin access on the work laptop, I’m opting for an alternative instead of getting another one. I’m considering an external SSD or a HyperX USB drive.
I used my 64GB ADATA USB 3.0 drive. The speeds are uncertain but it's definitely slower than 100MB/s. It's likely the rate is quite low overall. Honestly, I'd prefer a more affordable SSD that connects via SATA to USB instead of relying on the USB stick.
