It should work fine. In the 8th generation, the TPM is probably integrated into the processor and you just need to turn it on in the BIOS. You won't have to purchase a separate TPM.

Check the UEFI for Intel PTT or Intel Platform Trusted Technology, which is Intel firmware TPM. You don't require a dedicated TPM chip.
