Based on what I understand, if it doesn’t turn on afterward, you should contact them and they’ll help activate it once you describe the issue. I’m not confident about how consistent this process will be.

Alright, it seems like things are about to change... I’ll try it out. If needed, I can always restore Windows 7.

I set up my SSD on another device and installed Windows 10, but it ran many of my daily apps poorly. Switching from 8.1 to 10 caused some apps to fail and require reinstallation, even though they were stored on a different drive. I recommend staying on version 7 or moving up to 8.1 again.
