You've chosen to set up Wine 7.0 for Ubuntu, Ubuntu variants, and Debian. This concise setup guide will walk you through installing it straight from WineHQ. Keep in mind that the Wine binary isn't currently updated in the official repo, so you'll need to download and install it directly from WineHQ without complications.

Before proceeding, verify your installation by opening a terminal and typing `wine --version`. If you don’t have Wine installed or are missing it, follow these steps carefully.

To prepare for installation, ensure you have the correct architecture enabled on your system. Run `sudo dkpg --add-architecture i386` to download the necessary key from WineHQ. Then, fetch the public key using `wget https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/winehq.key` and add it with `sudo apt-key add winehq.key`. Update your repository list with `sudo add-apt-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/debian/bullseye main'` and confirm the '.'. Be cautious—missing this step will cause errors.

Once updated, install Wine using `sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-stable`. This will download the latest stable version available. After installation, you’ll be able to run Windows applications without issues.

For reference, I’ve prepared installation scripts covering Ubuntu, its variants, and Debian versions 10 and 11. You can also view a tutorial video if you prefer a visual guide.

Enjoy your new setup!
