you really want me to... I have a raid in 20 mins, maybe tomorrow I'll do it in VirtualBox if you still don't believe me. You're being like that annoying child from college that kept telling me i can't change M.A.C. address There is even a webpage devoted to people that report not having C: as system drive as a problem: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001193.htm I would actually dare you to find an actual commercial software or a game for that matter that is not well behaved and uses hard coded absolute paths? Most of them are well behaved, they use registry enteries for detecting paths they rely on or use relative paths.

Yes, it's feasible to use a distinct letter for the OS drive. The subject was regarding installing a new drive so it appears as C: in Windows Explorer, and you seem to have given the right guidance.
