You’ve switched back to the previous Windows version, but it keeps prompting for updates. This is common after a major update. You can try disabling automatic updates temporarily, or manually check for updates again if you want to stay current. If the issue persists, consider reinstalling Windows or reaching out to support for further help.

I didn't install a new version myself. You can perform a clean install by following the official Windows installation instructions or using a recovery media.

Windows Update in the search bar at the bottom left will show available updates. Select the one you don’t want to install, then click "Show Available Updates" and right-click it. It will stop being installed.

Did you verify the previous installation of Windows 10? Or were you moving from a different operating system like Windows 7?

You mentioned the Windows update is already installed, so you should remove it. The way to uninstall Windows Updates (excluding driver updates) is in the Settings app. Navigate to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > Update history, then select “Uninstall updates.” For Windows 10, you may need a tool to stop certain updates.
