Hello everyone, a month ago I finally managed to upgrade my PC to Windows 11 (pro). The day before, I made some hardware changes—switched the motherboard, GPU, CPU cooler, power supply, and case—and installed the OS drive onto the motherboard. My old motherboard was an Asus Z390 ROG Strix Gaming-h, now it's a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master. Initially, my OS SSD wasn't recognized, but once that was fixed, the system started working (though I had to bypass BitLocker). I turned off BitLocker because it was problematic, and now it functions properly. The only issue is that Secure Boot is disabled in the BIOS. I tried enabling it, but I encountered a black screen and lost access to the BIOS. Eventually, it worked after a reset. Regarding Secure Boot, I need to know if I have to modify the BIOS without the OS drive installed or if there are alternatives. My current setup includes a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, an i7 9700K CPU, a Cooler Master MA824 cooler, and several high-end graphics cards. The case is from Cooler Master MWE Gold 1050 V2. One thing to note about the old machine was the use of Cooler Master CM960 and a V8 cooler.

Old motherboard had secure boot activated. Checking if it's in UEFI mode is necessary. Finding the Gigabyte board isn't straightforward.

They changed the motherboard in the BIOS settings. A short YouTube clip can help explain it.

Additional options available, such as an extra M.2 port and Thunderbolt header. It might be worth getting a motherboard and a second CPU for a reasonable cost. Planning a PC build for my kids sounds great. If I realized this setup was quite challenging, I wouldn’t switch my motherboard. xD I already have the latest BIOS update F13a. Notes: System info shows UEFI mode; secure boot is now active. Should I proceed with BitLocker or is it safe to move forward?
