Using the SSD disk you obtain from a laptop allows transferring Windows and files from the laptop drive to the SSD. Would it be possible to switch it to your desktop and run Windows there instead?

It’s almost 4 a.m., and I thought I’d slept for four hours already, so I only glanced at your post. Yes, a laptop-sized drive works just like any regular desktop drive—assuming it uses standard connectors. If I missed something important while reading what you said, just ignore this edit. No windows will get upset if you do that.

It wasn't your mistake for skipping bed...but I need to be awake by a normal time on Sunday. That means I should stick to my sleep routine.

it should function, but you'll lack drivers. If you already have a Windows drive on your desktop, they may clash over ownership. Remove all other drives first before inserting the laptop drive. Also, ensure your Windows product key is on the label inside your laptop case.

You need to make it clearer and more natural in English.

Windows isn't functioning properly. Even after you've cleared most drivers, it still operates as a backup or media storage option.
