Hello. The video inspired me to install Windows on a USB drive and perform a fresh setup. I followed the steps but still have a Windows 8 product key. How can I easily transfer my OS to the USB, reinstall it, and format all drives so only Windows remains? I’ve upgraded to Windows 8.1 and need a method that works without a physical drive bay. Also, the video was very quick—please clarify if there’s anything I missed or suggest improvements. Thank you!

You can obtain an ISO file for the correct Windows 8.1 version using this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windo...resh-media Then apply the setup on a USB drive via this tool: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msus...vd_dwnTool After that, you can use Rufus to create the installation media, especially if the MS tool has issues. Good luck!

I attempted that, but each time I input my product key it says "This product key didn't work. Please check it and try again." Despite knowing I'm entering the correct key, it seems to be failing. This issue appears to occur with Windows 8, not 8.1.

Obtain the 8.1 ISO from Microsoft with a valid Windows 8.1 product key.

The best option is to obtain a Windows 8.1 license key. It's necessary for activation regardless of the platform.

It appears MS isn’t releasing Windows 8 ISOs, which is unusual since they provided free Windows 7 ISOs before. The installation discs only install a 30-day trial without a proper key (or using a crack to bypass authentication). If you possess a genuine valid key, minor concerns about "pirating" the media might arise—provided you don’t also violate licensing rules. Regarding sources, I can’t confirm availability. I discovered something but am uncertain if it works for Windows 8: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo...t-key-only Good luck.
