Because of the slow performance on Windows, I've been considering switching to ChromeOS on my potato. I watched a tutorial (https://youtu.be/QviTlPB_BiE) and experimented with both rammus and samus configurations. By the end, I encountered an error stating pv: write failed: no space left on device after writing three of twelve partitions. The remaining nine still show the same message. It's odd since the device should have space after accepting a format in the script. Any solutions or fixes would be appreciated? Device Name: Acer Aspire 5736z | Processor: Intel Dual Core T4500 | RAM: DDR3 4GB | Storage: 500GB HDD

I'll help you combine the newly unallocated space into a single partition. Since you're unsure how to do this on Linux, you may want to search for your specific command or tool. Let me know if you need guidance on the next steps!

You might need to reorganize the hard drive in Linux because it likely retains the OS you previously installed. Retry the process.

The script requested a specific format, and it began listing the partitions afterward. After rebooting, you encountered an error indicating no bootable disk was detected, suggesting the formatting process succeeded.

It might have arranged your EFI section of Windows which is around 500mb, so it's crucial to format the entire drive. A short video can help if you're not familiar with Linux Mint. 2021.05.04-18.48_Trim.mp4 Edit: The EFI section is actually about 100mb, while the recovery section is roughly 500mb.

Certainly, I'm ready. The r89 stable release is the specific version you're referring to.
