hello fellow linus enthusiasts, i'm facing some issues with my older laptop. recently, i got a new motherboard and connected an older hard drive. i tried installing windows 7 ultimate using a bootable usb, but it wouldn't start. when i switched to linux mint, it also didn't work. eventually, i decided to use the windows xp home install disc with a dvd drive. the setup process worked fine until i tried to continue and mentioned not having a hard drive installed—it was confusing. i reattempted, but without any other windows installation media now. i'm wondering what should i do next? also, i think the system might not support bootable usbs.
