install amd a4-5300 apu with radeon(tm) hd graphics
Hello everyone. I’m looking for your advice.
Overclocking an AMD A4-5300 APU with Radeon HD graphics seems okay.
Do I need a liquid cooler?
If I overclock my APU, should I remove the graphics card?
Also, I need to find a better power supply—I’m using an old one.
By the way, I’m not great at this right now, hehe.
And finally, if you have any better suggestions, please share them.
I’d like to play Nier with very basic graphics and smooth performance.
Thanks for your help!

Perhaps you're wondering why you're overclocking—or at least planning to? The setup would probably perform better with a top-tier APU and a dedicated GPU removed. I'm guessing your board uses an FM2 socket. Are you referring to Nier Super or Automata?
What I believe is that you shouldn't overclock the graphics part of your APU. In fact, turn it off completely. This will allow the CPU side to get full core voltage and memory bandwidth. When you upgrade your power supply, you should then enable the GPU. I don't think A4 APUs can be overclocked on the CPU side, which might be the reason you're struggling.
Earlier, when I assembled a PC for around $200 with an A6-5400k and an R7 240, I discovered that my top performance came from disabling AMD's dual graphics, completely turning off APU graphics, and overclocking each part individually. By the way, it was hilarious to pair an AIO with the weak Asus R7 240 and another AIO with the even weaker A6-5400k—I pushed the GPU core clocks above 1.1ghz and the APU to 4.6ghz. This boosted my Unigine Heaven frame rates and Firestrike score significantly.
I don't think NIE is extremely CPU-intensive, but I'm unsure if an older HD6570 can handle it anymore. In fact, I'm concerned your whole system might not be capable of the required performance.
I'm not really sure about the details right now.
I'll explain later. Thanks.
I'm a bit puzzled about how and what to do, since I don't know what's limiting things.
Currently, I think my AMD A4-5300 is handling the CPU and my HP6570 is the GPU. So what steps should I take to improve gameplay performance?
