You can achieve this by switching KDE to dark mode directly, as VLC is built on Qt. Since KDE already supports dark themes, you won’t need to adjust system-wide settings. Just change the theme in KDE’s settings or use the built-in dark mode option to match your preference.

GTK is the choice, and KDE offers impressive customization options. It ranges from very similar to older Windows versions to modern systems like Windows 11 and Mac OS Ventura. Achieving a look similar to XFCE may require some work, but it's definitely achievable.

The photo is from Mate. I’m curious about VLC’s dark mode on my old Linux—it should work with QT, right? I’m considering bringing back a Timeshift snapshot without risking my fresh install. What steps should I take to keep the boot intact?

You can combine these two approaches to set up Qt while using GTK on a Manjaro DE. It seems the system might automatically apply a grub configuration for snapshot boot, though I’m not sure how it handles Snapper or Timeshift specifically.

The name is a software application that supports dark mode. It seems promising based on what you found. Installing it with pacman is a bit tricky since the qt5-style plugins are missing. The hard-to-read fonts might be intentional for better visibility. It’s interesting how designers chose to use grey text instead of black.
