Instability in web connection.
Instability in web connection.
Hi, I just completed setting up my new computer (first time around, that one). Everything seems to be working most of the time, but I’ve encountered an unusual problem. Whenever I open a browser—Chrome, Edge, etc.—my internet connection suddenly drops, especially when loading a webpage. It takes an unreasonable amount of time, sometimes not loading at all, but occasionally it works for about a minute before collapsing again. During a speed test in Chrome, the download speed would jump to around 500 Mbps, then drop below 50 Mbps for upload, and even the Ethernet connection spikes high before crashing. It seems to affect quick tasks, though long-form content like podcasts on YouTube works fine. I’ve tried reinstalling the driver or rolling it back, but that didn’t help. Interestingly, other programs connected via Ethernet didn’t cause any issues. I’ve reinstalled Windows 11 twice and done a clean boot to check for conflicts, but nothing changed. Right now, I can only use browsers because my mobile device has a built-in WiFi antenna. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
