During the process, I accidentally damaged the socket by bending pins and applying paste. After replacing the CPU, the paste issue remains unresolved.

Use a 91% strong IPA to thoroughly rinse away residue. Gently brush with a soft-bristle brush, ensuring everything is completely clean. Wait until the area is fully dry before inserting anything.

Naturally, the paste isn't meant to conduct electricity. Just remove it completely or expose enough so the CPU can touch it. Use isopropyl alcohol and a needle, clean the socked thoroughly with the needle, repeat with some iodine, then apply and let it dry—should work fine.

The plastic-safe cleaner will fully remove it. I highlighted "Plastic Safe" because it’s important. Before using, turn off the power completely and let it dry fully before turning it back on. You can purchase it at auto parts shops such as O'Reiley or Autozone if available nearby.

Sadly, my location doesn't permit the use of isopropyl alcohol.

And I'm based in Pakistan, so no need for Amazon or eBay.
