Transferring storage devices from previous computer to another...
Windows 10 Desktop
C: Storage (from original computer) not being identified.
Receive non-system storage error.
Can restart with USB Windows but cannot access Storage
Storage shows as a "Windows" storage when checked on another computer
Any recommendations?
Attempted changing cables
Verified that C: Storage is in SATA 0 slot

MOST LIKELY you won't be able to utilize it in another computer unless you conduct a clean installation on that computer.

This often fails.
And the greater the disparity between old and new, the more probable it is to fail.
What is the
exact
error?
But in any event, this will almost certainly necessitate a complete OS wipe and reinstall.
Please provide us with the full list of components.
Make/model of everything.

So you are attempting to insert a storage device with its own OS, into a different HP system?

Fair point...
From the beginning....I had an older computer with a secondary hard drive that I utilized for data.
I transferred the second storage into a new computer installation.
Along the way, I removed the C: Storage, to examine some data on the storage.
When I returned the CConfusedtorage to the original installation, my system will not boot.
I can start from a Windows USB but my C: Storage is not booting, nor is it visible.
For example, I utilized the Windows Repair option on the USB stick, but boot sequence could not be modified onto the C Storage

OK....
That seems to be a scenario where the original OS was installed, with both storage devices connected.
In that case, the small boot partition ends up on the other storage.
Remove that, or it fails, no boot for you.
Yes, the OS is on the storage you specified. But the boot partition is not.

That could be, although I'm not certain the second storage was part of the original installation.
Open to starting fresh......Can I reinstall the Windows onto what I hope will be a boot storage?
