Inquiry on Overclocking Profiles
Inquiry on Overclocking Profiles
I've started experimenting with overclocking my CPU. I've saved two profiles—one for the overclocked settings and another for the standard ones, so I can switch easily between them. But when I change profiles and exit the BIOS, my computer stops working. After turning it back on, the profile is applied, but I'm curious if this is typical. Is it normal for the system to shut down after applying an overclock profile?
When changing profiles, the system stops working but restarts with the new settings. If you ask to turn it back on, do you allow sufficient time to check if it boots after shutting down?
Same CPU/MB remains the same. After changing profiles, the computer shuts down but restarts with fresh settings. When you mention needing to turn it back on, do you pause long enough to check if it boots after shutdown?
Hello,
Thank you for your response. The maximum wait time I experienced was around 15 seconds, so I’m unsure if I waited sufficiently to observe the boot process. Next time I switch profiles, I’ll try again.
