Hey, I just assembled a new PC and it’s acting up. I’m looking for a fresh network card or USB adapter. I used to have a working card on my old MSI 970 gaming board, but after upgrading to a Ryzen system it stopped communicating with the board. I can’t use an Ethernet cable since the modem is in the living room. Would a USB option work? Or should I find something more affordable? I’m budget-conscious—under $30—and I’m okay with decent performance for my current 150 Mbps down/20 Mbps up connection. I’d appreciate recommendations from Canadian sources like Amazon.ca.

The USB model mentioned is decent but can be inconsistent at times. I suggest checking out the links provided: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/tTdq...-gcwb867di or https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/X9rc...pce-ac55bt. They’re around $45 CAD and offer strong reliability and performance.

Understand what you're experiencing. The setup looks identical to the original, but the device isn't being detected in Device Manager.

You're asking a really basic thing. Make sure the connection is solid. If using a USB adapter, opt for one with larger antennas—it makes a big difference.

You're right, the first time I checked, it wasn't connected at all. I even went as far as securing it to the back ports.
