I've used few virtualization tools these days... mostly daemon utilities and Alcohol 120%. I'm trying to run VMware Workstation Player inside POP-Os so it can run Windows 10. I've heard it works better for gaming compared to VirtualBox. Still unsure about a couple of things: 1) Does the latest version of Vmplayer/workstation support DX10.1 and 11? 2) Can I install physical HDDs to store games that will run inside the virtualized Windows 10 environment, or must everything be entirely virtual? Hope this makes sense.

I need to know which type of games you plan to play inside the virtual machine. Just set up the VM to access a real hard drive directly.

Hello, thank you for your message. The issue involves a few Steam games that don't run properly on native Linux Steam or Lupis. My next attempt will be using WMware and Windows 10. The titles mentioned are Trials Rising and Carcassonne (atm). More games might be available.
