I bought the be quiet! 802 Silent Base and intended to buy the MSI B550 gaming plus motherboard soon, but I noticed a mistake. The internal header on the Gaming Plus shows a 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 5Gbps Type-C port, while the front panel I/O of the Silent Base indicates it's USB 3.2 Gen 2. If I buy the motherboard, should it still fit the front panel connector even though it's Gen 1? Thanks for your assistance! This confused me and made me doubt compatibility. USB supports older versions, meaning a device with a lower header standard will still function under those specs. Generally, if it fits, it should work.
