Inquiry about the water cooling back plate gasket.
Inquiry about the water cooling back plate gasket.
I'm setting up water cooling for the first time and I'm a bit worried about securing the backplate and water block. The rubber gasket covers some pins that stick out on the back, but it might be confusing to put anything on top of them and press down, risking damage.
I went ahead and adjusted the backplate down and it seems fine. However, I'm struggling with this L360. When I try to install the water cooling block on the CPU, it doesn't fit. There are capacitors near the CPU socket that are blocking it. I've had them slightly tilted over before it worked, but now they're smeared out more than usual. Should I keep the copper block leaning against three capacitors while it transfers heat? Probably not.
