Hello. I'm planning to upgrade my PC and have some queries. The model I'll be installing is the ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming. 1: With a PCIe 1x sound card, can I install it in the bottom PCIe 3.0 16x slow slot without impacting the top two PCIe 4.0 slots? 2: I also have two M.2 NVMe SSDs. Should I use both without them interfering with the rest of my system? Besides the sound card, I'll be using a GTX1070. Can I still run both M.2 drives without causing any issues?

Yes. This setup links the chipset, and the remaining two ports are directly connected to the CPU. 2. Yes. For an 11th generation processor, one SSD goes to the CPU and the other stays with the chipset.

The 16x slot accommodates any PCI-e card since the critical pins are located at the input side. The only possible issue with a second M.2 drive is it might not operate at NVMe performance. You can obtain a copy of the motherboard guide from the manufacturer's site before purchasing to understand any restrictions.

Thanks so much. So I am confused about reports of using the m 2 slots taking away from the PCIe slots
